Ainokura Village, was awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Village since 1995. Not only does it offer panoramic views of nature and incredible views in each season, what is also interesting about Ainokura Village is the whole form of Gassho. The soaring thatched roof is the main attraction because it resembles the praying palm of one's hand. According to a local resident named Iwao, houses in Ainokura Village in the Gassho style are one of the villages known for their ancient home architecture with a ridge or roof in the shape of a prayer hand. That form is what makes Ainokura Village registered as one of the world's cultural heritages.
In the village, there are also Ainokura folk museums, private houses that provide food and lodging, and souvenir shops in the village. However, to reach photo spots is not easy, especially as it is now when snow can reach three to three meters.
